Repairs
The standard labour charge for a repair is £45.00 plus any materials or parts. I do carry quite an extensive stock of common parts, however, I cannot carry every part for every machine so, if parts are required, you should hopefully have to wait no longer than a few days.
So if you need to have your new integrated oven, hob, hood, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier or dishwasher repaired that's no problem. If any alterations are required I can resolve most problems.
The majority of machines can also be supplied at extremely competitive prices and a full installation service provided.
There is no call out charge and I can normally provide a same/next day service. |

Range Cooker installations - £65.00 plus any materials needed to bring the existing installation up to current Gas Safe regulations.
I specialise in the installation and maintenance of your machines and the alteration of the surroundings to fit it in, whether you need supply pipes/wiring installed or altered, or kitchen cabinets/worktops moved all this can be done. I will also make a visit free of charge just to check that the machine that you want will fit in. |
Gas InstallationsAll gas installations whether old or new must conform to the current British Standards Gas Regulations. A registered GAS SAFE installer must carry out all gas work.
There may be several reasons why your current installation on your old appliance does not meet these requirements. For your benefit some examples are listed below:
- The
general location of the appliance.
- Adequate
ventilation for combustion and cooling.
- The
type of appliance and gas connection required.
- The
proximity of combustible surfaces.
- The
stability of the appliance.
- The
electrical connections.
It
is a requirement by law for the installer to ensure that all gas
pipe work in relation to your appliance adheres to the current regulations.
Hence a basic charge is displayed below, this however may increase
dependent on the number of appliances that are to be fitted, and
the work involved to bring your installation pipe work to meet the
current regulations.
"No
person shall carry out work in relation to a gas fitting or storage
vessel unless he is competent to do so. Failure to comply with the
statutory requirements may result in prosecution"
Gas Safety (Installation and use) Regulations 1998
Gas installations and repairs are charged at £50.00 plus the cost of any parts or materials.
All work is guaranteed, and any work carried out with regards to gas repairs/installations will be issued a gas safety certificate.
ID CardsAnyone carrying out gas work must have a Gas Safe Register ID card. If not, they are breaking the law and putting you and your family at risk.
Gas safety is one of the most important factors in having a safe home and work place. The dangers that surround unsafe gas appliances are deadly serious. Poorly maintained, faulty or badly installed gas work leads to carbon monoxide poisoning, the effects of which can be fatal.
It’s not always easy to spot an illegal gas fitter for a fully qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. Always ask to see your gas engineer’s Gas Safe Register ID card to make sure they are safe and legal. |
